The West African Council for Learning Quality (WACLQ) focuses on learning quality, professional education, and the improvement of institutional training systems. Its activities address curriculum effectiveness, learner assessment, educational delivery, and the development of structured quality frameworks suited to diverse educational environments.

The institutions listed in this registry make up the HCDE founding network: the first bodies accredited by HCDE itself, each by decision of the HCDE Accreditation Committee, against HCDE's own published standards. HCDE is a private, independent, non-governmental body. Its accreditation rests on its own published standards and does not constitute governmental recognition.
